Bluetooth problem

Ok, new news, I got the bluetooth address of the phone ( something like this 00:25:cf:0d:b0:XX), if I run the command:

sudo hcitool cc 00:25:cf:0d:b0:XX

and then

hcitool lq 00:25:cf:0d:b0:XX
hcitool name 00:25:cf:0d:b0:XX

give me the link quality and the name of my phone.

BUT in the phone

a) there is no connection
b) I can’t find my computer (the bluettoth dongle is in mode visible)

In my computer the bluetooh icon in the system tray is greyed out and can’t find my phone

( working with Kde 4.6 opensuse 11.4)

Hi
Have you installed blueman, I think this is what works for KDE.

I thougth that blueman was for gnome,
but nevertheless, I installed blueman and the process of installation is OK,
but it does not work.

Has this thread come to any conclusion? I have a Blackberry 9780 and I’ve tried everything suggested so far but have had no success. Worked perfectly well with Windoze 7 until I dumped it.

Hi
So as root user do you see the device with the hcitool scan command?

What Desktop environment and openSUSE release are you using?

Hi Malcolm.

The scan gives me nothing at all.

I’m using Xfce and openSUSE 12.4.

Cheers! Take care.
