Bluetooth mouse disconnects on screen locking

Rather frustrated that my bluetooth mouse stops when the screen is locked so in order to wake up from lock I have to hit a key which then needs to be removed from the password field. This is not new but still happens now on 15 as it did on 42.3. Waggling the mouse does nothing. Using a USB mouse does not exhibit this issue.

Any ideas please?

I guess power management is at play here? I would consider installing TLP (power management utility) and editing /etc/default/tlp so prevent bluetooth power management.
