I recently bought a few cheap Bluetooth headphones to play with and I’m having issues. Both pairs of headphones work perfectly with my Zenbook running Tumbleweed and my Android phone. However, they will not properly function with my primary desktop and one other desktop machine that I tried it on. They work in headset mode, but won’t switch over to A2DP when I select that option in sound settings. In addition, they WILL work correctly on my primary desktop when I run various live usb distros.
The only thing that is different about the two machines that the headphones don’t work on is that they were originally openSUSE 13.2 machines that I updated to Tumbleweed.
All the machines involved are running Gnome 3.16.
I tried creating a fresh user with a blank config to see if that was the issue, but I still get the same behavior so I’m guessing the issue is lower in the stack.
I obviously don’t want to have to reinstall everything so I was hoping it was just a bad config file that got left over from before the upgrade to Tumbleweed.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
