I am a complete noob at linux and this is my first time installing any distro. I chose opensuse and installed it last night. when installing i encountered a problem where my screen would go blank while trying to install. i solved the problem by plugging in a crt monitor instead of the lcd monitor i want to use. now opensuse is fully installed and operational. but when i try to switch to my lcd monitor it says,

if it was a problem with the driver then why does one monitor work but not another?
i believe it could be a problem with the scfreen resolution. I had the same problem at a point.
yes it is the resolution. you can change it the grub screen where you choose your OS to be run. what parameters you have there for Suse?
