Hello , so I just have a new install of opensuse tumbleweed and when ever I try to use dark mode and then I restart my computer, the kde loading screen takes a while to load and when it finished I just get a black screen with my cursor .
This only happens if I try to use dark plasma theme , if I use the opensuse theme , (the default one ) it works fine and boots fine .
I already installed the libvulkan_intel but that didn’t fix it .
If someone can please help , I’ve never had this issue before with any distro .
It may matter which GPU you have. Please provide input/output from running command
inxi -GSaz
from Konsole. You may need to install inxi first.
I strongly doubt that being useful. GPU issues are not theme related.
Try this when it happens:
- Hit Ctrl+Alt+F2
- Login with your username and password
- Do
sudo systemctl enable --now sddm.service If that does not help,
- Do
sudo systemctl restart sddm.service
Report back what happens
