Black screen when install or boot 6 distrs

Tried to install Open Suse 11.0, 10.3 (and other distrs)- got black screen after pressing install. Have Asus P5QL PRO mb, 1 sata hdd, 2 ide hdd, 1 sata dvd. After changing sata mode from IDE to AHCI only 10.3 started install normally. Tried to disable Marvell 88SE61xx ide controller, tried different sata connectors with hdd and dvd.

Try using the failsafe install option.

if you don’t see suse boot menu offering the installation options…try:
hold down shift key just before suse starts to boot…type ‘n’ when asked to load the boot graphic, then at the prompt, type ‘failsafe’ and hit enter.
(worked well with 10.3)
