BitPim

I recently upgraded to 11.2, reluctantly (as I was happy with my 11.1 setup, until a kernel autoupdate killed my system). I had BitPim set up perfectly on the old system, even though it took quite some tinkering, and it would recognize every phone I threw at it. But, this time around with 11.2, I can’t get it to recognize any phones, namely an LG Voyager. I used lsusb to verify, but come to find out phone doesn’t even show up as being connected. So, what am I missing here? I swear it had something to do with some kind of USB package to install through Yast, but I’m pretty sure that I have every one of them installed. Any ideas?

have you seen this re: firnware update?

openSuse 11.2 x64bit, KDE4.3.3, Opera weekly

Yeah, I’ve seen that, but it doesn’t help. The firmware on the phone is old, so that’s not the issue. Like I said, I’ve used it previously, but I’m apparently missing something in 11.2 that I had in 11.1.
