Biostar A770 A2+ Phenom X4 Problem

I’m having severe issues with my new board and processor. The board is a Biostar A770 A2+ and my processor is a AMD Phenom X4 9550 Quad-Core. My issue is this: Any time I try to install Windows, doesn’t matter which, I get BSOD. Now according to BioStars website, the board can use the processor out of the box with no issues but I’m calling B.S. I’ve tried updating the BIOS like I read in another post but the update that the site has won’t work. My current bios says it’s an invalid file. Any help would be much appreciated.

Board: BioStar A770 A2+
Processor: AMD Phenom64 X4 9550 Quad-Core
Ram: 4gb of DDR2 Ram running in dual channel mode

The correct stats are as follows:

Board: Same as above
Processor: AMD Phenom X4 9650 (64-Bit Quad Core)
Ram: OCZ DDR2 2GB x 2
PSU: Xion 450w
Video: EVGA GeForce 9500 GT PCI-Express

If anything else is needed lemme know. I’ve tried using all versions of XP as well as Vista and still get BSoD. It loads the drivers it needs and when setup gets to the part before it starts installing everything, it does the BSoD thing.
