I have a sneaking suspicion that it needs ndiswrapper but I’m not sure
Wait for an expert like lwfinger to respond

The 14e4:4315 device will work with b43 as long as the kernel is 2.6.32 or
later, or if the compat-wireless package is applied. You might also use the
broadcom-wl device.

Kernels 2.6.32 or 2.6.33 may be downloaded from the Factory repo.

Hello,
could you please post the direct links for those drivers…m a noob and…i am fed up reoslving dependencies:(
Thanks

If that’s the case then I doubt you are up to the kernel build.

Try ndiswrapper. It’s a bit nasty, it uses XP drivers.
@swerdna has a guide
Madwifi or Ndiswrapper Wireless Network Drivers - Suse/openSUSE 10, 11 - LAN & Internet access

Any simpler way…i m ready to post as many specs you folks ask…i m frustrated doing this all…please
Thanks

hey,

  1. i think the kernel is higher than 2.6.32;nd i think i have installed the b43 thing…lemme chek it once i boot to linux…nyways its vry hard to get a wired cnnction again…
2.could you please explain about compat-wireless?meanwhile lemme check the kernel and other things and i will post the specs…
    Waiting for the suse day!
    Thanks

Compat oneclick
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/broumbroum23/openSUSE_11.2_oss/HCL-WIFI.ymp

on uname -r:2.6.31.8-0.1-default…do you think compat will work?
Thanks

Just try the OneClick it should do it all for you

To be clear…i have dual boot with windows…so downloading this one click with windows…nd trying to install …
Thanks

NO
You can’t

Don’t have a hard wire to get this - you can’t download it in winders.

earlier you said

.i got a wired connection updated the kernel, added the packman repository…installed broadcom driver.

Dont tell me i got no hopes now:(

Well its lik this problem has taken much more than a week.Folks earlier told me;there’s no way out without a wired connection…so i somehow managed one and followed these steps as they told…but again no succes:
1.zypper up;reboot
2.added packman repository
3.installed broadcom
Cmmon man…it has taken very long…if it were for you?.please help me folks
Thanks

Unfortunately time like the tide wait for no man.
I have to sleep.

ofcourse you may…but someone please help me …please
there has to be a way out…:’(
Thanks

Are you now telling us you cannot get a wired connection to install this?
