Bibblelite 4.10 on openSUSE 11.2 (KDE 4.3)

Hi,

when trying to install bibblelite-4.10.1-1.i386.rpm on my brandnew **openSUSE 11.**2 system I get

error: Failed dependencies:
libstdc++.so.5 is needed by bibblelite-4.10.1-1.i386
libstdc++.so.5(CXXABI_1.2) is needed by bibblelite-4.10.1-1.i386
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.2) is needed by bibblelite-4.10.1-1.i386
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.2.2) is needed by bibblelite-4.10.1-1.i386

Is there a general problem with Bibblelite on 11.2 or shall just install the packages listed in the error message?

Where do I find libstdc++.so.5 for 11.2

Hello,

You may find the needed library in the package “libstdc++33-3.3.3-15.3.i586”. As root, type “zypper install libstdc++33”.

I have been running bibble-pro-4.10.1 with-out any problems thus far.

Well it says it needs libstdc++.so.5 so yes you should install it.

You can find it in yast by doing a search with “rpm provides” enabled.
On 11.1 it’s in the libstdc++33-32bit package.

I have a 64bit system but bibblepro is 32 bit so it also needs the 32 bit
libstdc++33-32bit package, the libstdc++33 is 64 bit.

Hi,

I found the 32 bit version of libstdc++.so.5 via the YAST software installer.

Bibble Lite works fine, now.
