Beta5, Pidgin SSL not working

Hello,

I’m having some trouble with connecting to the gtalk servers with pidgin… anything I try leads to the same error: SSL Handshake Failed. The problem is, that Kopette also fails to connect.

Any ideas why this happens?

Seems the GNUTLS is the problem, as in debug mode pidgin is reporting that: “gnutls: Handshake failed. Error A TLS packet with unexpected length was received.”… Any idea on how to circumvent this problem?

i’m having the same problem. kopete wouldn’t work for google talk either

Pidgin seems to work fine with google-talk in beta 5.2

Yes, with an update to 5.2 the SSL problem seems to be solved.
