After spending too much time trying to make my Buffalo WLI-UC-GN work, I’ve decided to take the “throw some money at the problem” approach.
What is the best USB wireless N adapter for Linux? I would like to have good speeds, but honestly, I just want to plug the $^%&* thing in & have it work!

Welcome here (I see this is your first post).
I also see that you got no answer until now. That could be for several reasons. First of course you do not mention which level of openSUSE you are using (and our crystal bals are on holiday).
Second is, that when you say that the device you have now did not work so far for you, you do not tell anything about your trials to get it working. Did you read the stickies at the top of the thread list in this Wireless forum. In any case you did not ask for any help here because this is your first post.
The conclusion of many may be that when you did not do anything to get the device you have working, why would then any other device work for you?
