I was looking for remote desktop applications (for suse to be accessed from another computer) and I found no applications for the 15.6 version. I was wondering which is recommended. It would be preferable that the remote access is done from windows to suse.
When you use the search in YaST Software, you will find as example freerdp and Tigervnc. Both are available for Leap 15.6 via the standard openSUSE repos and also for MS Windows via the relevant websites.
It’s not clear what you need - “remote desktop applications” has different meaning for different folks.
What is meant by remote (?):
Inside the LAN?
Outside the LAN?
Access files stored on Linux system only?
.
Require Linux command line only?
Run native Linux graphical apps?
I’m using the classic x11vnc because is light and has a lot of possibilities. But I am on XFCE and I don’t think it will work on Wayland protocol. Connecting to Linux machines behaves well, but not so great connecting from Windows. Teamviewer is also a good option, I never used on OpenSuse, it worked very well on Debian in my experience. Also has an option to use only LAN connections.
