Belkin Atheros ver 8000

I have a new Belkin card ver 8000 that has the Atheros chipset.
After reading many posts, I blacklisted ath5k, installed madwifi but YaST still shows:

Atheros WLAN controller (Not connected)
BusID : 0000:06:00.0

Unable to configure the network card because the kernel device (eth0, wlan0) is not present. This is mostly caused by missing firmware (for wlan devices). See dmesg output for details.

Here is what I think is the issue from dmesg (please ignore the Broadcom line, that’s the internal wireless and is powered off)

pccard: CardBus card inserted into slot 0
ath_hal: module license ‘Proprietary’ taints kernel.
ath_hal: (AR5210, AR5211, AR5212, RF5111, RF5112, RF2413, RF5413)
wlan: 0.9.4
b43-phy0: Broadcom 4318 WLAN found
ath_pci: 0.9.4
phy0: Selected rate control algorithm ‘pid’
PCI: Enabling device 0000:06:00.0 (0000 -> 0002)
ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:06:00.0[A] -> GSI 23 (level, low) -> IRQ 23
Broadcom 43xx driver loaded Features: PMLR, Firmware-ID: FW13 ]
wifi%d: unable to attach hardware: ‘No hardware present or device not yet supported’ (HAL status 1)
ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:06:00.0 disabled

When I installed Madwifi, i chose the default, should i have chosen HAL?

lspci -v shows:

06:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. Device 001d (rev 01)
Subsystem: Belkin Device 721b
Flags: medium devsel, IRQ 23
Memory at 54000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable)
Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2
Kernel modules: ath_pci

ok, after much research, i found this card is not supported by the HAL.

So used the .inf file on the cd and ndiswrapper. Works great now
