Hi everyone,
I have solved my B43xx wireless card issue on openSUSE 12.3 thanks to this:
https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/484106-Broadcom-firmware-is-needed-for-b43-but-I-have-no-network-an-easierwork-around
Can someone please tell me if the steps mentioned in the above link will work for Debian 7.6 also?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers!
Probably yes, I’d say. I don’t see anything openSUSE specific in there.
But I haven’t tried it.
Anyway, you need to have “b43-fwcutter” installed for that script to work.
I don’t know whether this is installed by default on Debian, it is available though.

Although I haven’t tried it yet, I believe it should work. Hope to try by the end of this week and post here.
Any reasons to believe otherwise?.. anyone?
Regards,
