I have a dell XPS which has the option to turn off battery charging under windows. Would anyone have any suggestions as to whether it might be possible to control this charging option under linux? Control via the command line is fine, I just want to know if it’s possible and how I’d go about trying to figure it out. Thanks.

To my knowledge, Dell has not released the specs for doing this. I have
an N7110 laptop that has that same functionality under Windows, but when
I asked about it for Linux, the answer I got was that the hardware
already switches the mode when the battery is nearly full or fully
charged.
