BATCH? Move and initiate torrents!

Hi there, me again!

As you already know, we are living in the century of information - and thats why I like to share my thoughts and infos via torrent (to be more specific: at the moment I use VUZE most of the time).

Now, there are ALOT of torrents that I down- n’ upload. Now what I do is to put every downloaded torrent in a folder for general collection first. Then I pick them up, one by one, drag and drop these by hand into another folder (where ALL torrents are stored), and then I manually double-click the files to start in VUZE. File names are confusing sometimes and for sure it’s not the best thing to search for a moved torrent and not finding it due to another 1200+ torrents.

Would it somehow be possible to code a script for moving the torrents from one folder to another and double-click them automatically? Would be GREAT! … But how to do? :stuck_out_tongue:

vuze will monitor for new torrent files in a folder and automatically load them in a stopped state(look in Options/Files). Then you can assign a “category” and group downloads in that way. Just read up on the possibilities.

more involved automation is better left to the azureus/vuze forums to advise you. i’m sure scripts do exist for customized ways of parsing rss feeds, automatically loading and categorizing etc.

Sounds GOOD. Now if someone could tell me where exactly I find that option, I could configure VUZE to automatically start new torrents which are placed into that folder…
