Bash 4.4-101.1 seems to be broken. Delete invisibly deletes, but looks like you hit spacebar on the commandline. Also gives an error on the color set on the prompt. Hopefully fixed soon.
Perhaps konsole-17.12.1-2.1.x86_64 is having problems with bash.
