banshee trouble - plz help

I’ve installed last banshee 1.4.2, but I’m unable to listen any mp3 (in the past it has worked, as rythymbox too…) at the moment realplayer works, so I don’t think have some audio card problem…

Banshee simply don’t play anything… my mp3 are in a usb disk external (on ntfs partition, as always it has been…) but when I try to play anyone of them it has marked with a “x” at left…
no error message are shown.

…trying to launch “banshee-1” I’ve got this:

banshee-1 /usage

Not my audio player of choice

Have a check that you have full access to your NTFS drive

thx <caf4926>

…yes, I’ve checked for permission on my ntfs drive… (I’ve also tried mount it directly by sudo…) but it doesn’t matter, the problem was the same… :frowning:

Solution: Get anpother player. Your life won’t be happier with a media player freakin’ out like that.

Recommandation: VLC (first choice) or Mplayer. Both are awesome. When sources will be fixed, Songbird will do an excellent job, too.

Enjoy.
