I need help! I am running OpenSuse 11.3, I have Banshee 1.8.0 and I want to use it to manage my music but now it’s crashing as it starts up.
I had just moved all my music to the computer and banshee had just scanned it into the library and then it crashed, and now it crashes every time I try to run it.
I have been using OpenSuse for the last couple years but I am still a novice when it comes to the command line and debugging.
Any help would be really appreciated! Thanks
If it helps, I also tried running Banshee from Konsole and at the end of the line it gave me this message
“” Got a SIGSEGV while executing native code. This usually indicates
a fatal error in the mono runtime or one of the native libraries
used by your application."
I thought I had all the necessary packages installed but I’m not sure now.
I think I discovered the problem. I had liborc installed from the opensuse oss repository as opposed to having it installed from the Packman repository. I switched that and it appears to be running smoothly now
please explain in detail how you did that
