Hi! This is my first post here, I’m back to openSUSE since the last version I used 10.1 and I’m really enjoying using 11.2 so far :).
Banshee (or totem) can’t play mmsh streams. I have packman repositorie activated and have installed all gstreammer plugins plus ffmeg and ffmpeg related gstreamer plugins and libmms0.
I can play mp3, xvid and other formats, but these streams are the only thing that does not work. Anyone has a clue of what I could be missing here?
It’s fixed now, thanks! :). The problem was I still had gstreamer plugins from OSS repositorie instead of packman’s. Still learning the opensuse way of multimedia these days.
I don’t mean to hijack the thread. I have been messing around with gtkpod and banshee the last couple of weeks. With the first generation ipod gtkpod doesn’t work very well while with banshee it is okay. With nano gtkpod works well while bashee mounts but can not load the music library, if I use the import media and point to nano banshee can copy the music files and play. Using the gstreamer from packman to make it work, it has a compatibility issue with my webcam that makes it stop working. I have not trace which gstreamer plugin from packman that is breaking my webcam video detection but I do know that reverting back to the openSUSE gstreamer plugins gives back the webcam video.
