Backing up/Restoring user settings for Wayland and X11 WMs under KDE

Given one specific user account on a machine running openSUSE Tumbleweed, with a KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.5 desktop, KDE Frameworks Version: 6.10.0, Qt Version: 6.8.1.
Is there a distinct set of files/directories from /home/whateveruser one has to backup for the Wayland and for the X11 WM under KDE, such that whateveruser can experiment with KDE desktop settings in either WM (icons, fonts, scaling, etc.), yet can still switch between both WMs on the SDDM-login and thereafter fully restore all previous settings to those of the now chosen WM?

I would simply set up a „master“ VM with a defined starting point (same set of packages). Clone the master VM, experiment, throw away, use next clone…

That’s not really an answer to the original question.
Thx anyway.

@mark314 I would suggest two users, then a rsync on the relevant $HOME, but I would concentrate on Wayland, X11 will fade away sooner rather than later…

Start with these…
~/.config/kwinrc
~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc
~/.config/plasmashellrc
~/.config/plasmarc
~/.local/share/kscreen/*
