I have a laptop Acer eMachines e725 and I want to install openSUSE on it, but I have a problem, after the correct installation and reboot does not work backlight on my laptop.
This problem also occurs in other systems, kernel 2.6.37 and later.
Do you have any ideas what I should do to make it work?

Are you with GNOME or KDE ? In KDE, did you check the kpowerdevil settings (system settings->power management) and in GNOME in hardware->power management ?
I have KDE, i didn’t check thet becouse, after the instalation and reboot, when the system was loading everything is very, very dark on the screen, I see only contours of the desktop.
