HI …
MY DOLPHIN WAS WORKING FINE … ALL OF SUDDEN … IT STOPPED RESPONDING … I AM USING KDE4 DOLPHIN ON OPEN SUSE 11.0… I TRIED TO REINSTALL THE DOLPHIN PACKAGE THROUGH YAST … BUT I STILL DIDNT WORK…

Stopped working - How? Explain what happens.

Now open a terminal and type:

dolphin

post any errors here.

IT GIVES NO ERROR ON INITIALIZING DOLPHIN … BUT GUI IS NOT WORKING … I CANT OPEN ANY FOLDER … GUI IS JUST OPENED … NOTHING IS OPERATIONAL … I CANT NAVIGATE BETWEEN FILE AND FOLDER… EVEN TRASH IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY…

In your home directory look for .kde4/share/config/dolphinrc and rename it.
See if it fixes your problem.

What is described above may have to be done from a icewm login session or from the CLI

the location of the file is: home/username/.kde4/share/config/dolphinrc

to do it from cli:
mv /home/*username/.kde4/share/config/dolphinrc old_dolphinrc

If that doesn’t work do a rename of the whole .kde4 folder to .kde4old
cli method:
mv /home/*username/.kde4 .kde4old
then Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to restart the desktop.
