AVM FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick and OpenSuSE 11 64bit

Hello,
i have some troubles to get my AVM WLAN Stick working with ndiswrapper and the 64bit Windows drivers.

I did the following:

1.) ndiswrapper -i fwlan64.inf
2.) ndiswrapper -l
device was listed
3.) modprobe ndiswrapper
4.) dmesg

this is the result:

ndiswrapper version 1.52 loaded (smp=yes, preempt=no)
usb 1-1: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 2
ndiswrapper (link_pe_images:576): fixing KI_USER_SHARED_DATA address in the driver
ndiswrapper: driver fwlan64 (AVM GmbH,12/28/2006,2.0.6.1647) loaded
ndiswrapper (mp_init:216): couldn’t initialize device: C000009A
ndiswrapper (pnp_start_device:439): Windows driver couldn’t initialize the device (C000
ndiswrapper (mp_halt:259): device ffff8101de0e9700 is not initialized - not halting
ndiswrapper: device eth%d removed
ndiswrapper: probe of 1-1:1.0 failed with error -22
usbcore: registered new interface driver ndiswrapper

It actually worked yesterday with a different installation of SuSE 11.0 64bit, but only up to a restart (after updating the OS).

Does anybody has a clue or a solution to get this adapter to work?

The update must have broken your setup. Happens quite often with kernel updates as the wireless modules don’t get rebuilt to match the new kernel.

Try re-installing (update) ndiswrapper and go completely through your setup/config again from the beginning.
