avidemux slow on suse 11.1

Hi,

i installed suse 11.1 and now avidemux takes soooooooooo much longer to rip video files than it did when i was using suse 11.0. I’m still on kde 3.5 and no other software runs slower, just this. it opens fine, it’s just the amount of frames per second it processes during 1st and 2nd passes are so slow, running at under 10frames per second. it used to take (roughly) 1 hour to convert per 1 hour of film. now it takes 4-5 times that!!!

any ideas?

Do you get any errors at all? What about when starting the app from a terminal?

unfortunately (sort of) no errors at all running from console, or using the GUI. it’s just really strange. i can’t seem to configure how much CPU the programme can use or anything like that.

any more ideas? :\
