basically I am using dvd-styler to create a dvd that will play on a set top box, creating and burning the dvd is no problem but, is there any way within dvd-styler to make the dvd autorun, ie: to load and run the only film on the dvd!
I know I am responding to myself but I did not make it clear!
Here goes:
I normally use kino to import video files to export as mpeg-2 dvd compliant files that I then use dvd-styler to create a dvd that I can play on my set top box on my standard TV!
What I would like to do is to create, for example, a single movie file on on dvd to autorun/autoload on the set top box! Can it be done in dvd-styler?? If not, what package can achieve that for me??
I don’t know anything about dvdstyler before but I was curious about it (looks like a neat program) so I did a bit of searching. Unfortunately none of the documents at dvdstyler.sourceforge.net discuss autoplay. Nothing in the dvdstyler forums either. Perhaps you could ask the question on the dvdstyler forums? It isn’t something that’s specific to any particular distro or even OS. My guess is yes, there probably is a way, because dvdauthor is used to author the DVD so this would be a wanted feature. Perhaps you have to specify a menu with a zero timeout to a default selection?
Let us know what you find out.
