Autodesk Maya and 3DS Max on openSUSE

Hi guys!
I’m thinking of changing to openSUSE on my main PC (I currently have it only on my laptop), on which I use mainly Maya and 3DSMax. These softwares only have a RedHat rpm package. Will it work on openSuse? Does anyone have experience with Autodesk softwares on openSuse?

Yep, but years ago. Both Maya and 3DSMax worked at that time. IIRC there were both rpms and tarballs available.

Thank you! There is a linux version for Maya 2016 too, but i don’t know if it is tarball or something else and if it works well on suse.

Seems Autodesk doesn’t supports Linux with their 3DS Max. Have they ever?
Autodesk Maya does have support for Linux. However they do not provide a trial download for Linux.

Documentation for installing Autodesk Maya on Linux. Looks like they have an installer and RPM package.

System Requirements for Autodesk Maya 2016 does list Linux, RedHat and CentOS so OpenSUSE should work.

Well there is always Blender.

Thank you! Sadly Blender is not an option, my company uses Autodesk softwares.
