Is there any way to auto-eject a USB optical drive upon insert?
Here is the reason why…
I have a Novatel Wireless Ovation U727. When it first gets plugged in, it mounts a virtual optical drive that contains the Windows drivers for the card. In order to use the device as a modem, I must ‘eject’ the virtual drive. I was wondering if it’s possible, with the help of maybe some HAL scripts or something, to just have it auto-eject the virtual drive upon insert so it’s easier to deal with.
Think of it as a U3 device basically, except that the optical drive portion has to be ejected before the card can be used.
