Auflösung der Konsolen ändern?

Hallo!
Ich hätte gerne meine Konsolen tty1-6 in einer geringen Auflösung.
Leider schalten die kurz nach dem Laden des Kernels auf volle Auflösung…

Erst mal die Infos:

Ich habe Version os11.3 installiert
Die Grafikkarte (Radeon HD5770) hängt über einen DVI->VGA-Adapter am
VGA-Anschluss eines LG 32LH4000
Da die Auflösung der KDE bei jeder neuen Session wieder auf FullHD ging habe ich
xrandr --output DVI-0 --mode 1280x720 in die .profile meines Users eingetragen.

Ich habe bei grub auf vga=normal gestellt.
Die Auflösung wird auch kurz dargestellt, aber dann geht der Bootvorgang schnell in der höheren Auflösung weiter…

Ansonsten bekomme ich auf F10 ein “failed to prefill DIMM database from DMI data” vom mcelog.

was meinst Du mit “einer geringen Auflösung”?
Wenn der angezeigte Modi zu klein ist versuch es mit den beiden Bootoptionen vga=normal und/oder nomodeset.

ich meine eben sowas wie vga=normal, soweit ich das verstanden habe…
Ich nehme an nomodeset ist “Während des Neustarts nach der Auflösung fragen.” im Yast2 und vga=normal wäre dann “Textmodus”?
Jedenfalls bringen beide Einstellungen beim Laden des Kernels für kurze Zeit die richtige Auflösung (vga=normal), aber dann wird scheinbar irgendein Modul geladen dass alles wieder an die Auflösung des Displays anpasst.

Hallo aphexZero,

ich hatte gerade einen HP ProLiant Server zwischen den Fingern, der machte auch solch merkwürdigen Dinge… tststst die Hardware von heute … ;O)
Beim Booten habe ich beide Optionen eingetragen “vga=normal nomodeset” und danach war Ruhe. Kein weiteres Umschalten mehr.
