Recently I upgraded to 11.1 from 11.0 (this one had also konqueror 3.5 + audiokonverter, and it worked perfectly).
I have installed audiokonverter for KDE4 and the installation had no problem…but…it does not work.
When I open the submenus to convert to any format and launch audiokonverter, the terminal window opens and then closes immediately (impossible to read anything).
Any idea about what’s wrong??? I’ve got lots of files to convert, so I am eagerly waiting for the solution.
I did have a similar problem with audiokonverter on kde3 once - in that the settings didn’t take. To check to see if this is the problem - can you set up a new user and see if audiokonverter works for the the new user.
I assume that the scripts anytowav, audioconvert, movie2sound, oggdrop-lxare installed to
/usr/share/kde4/bin
.
If they aren’t there type
rpm -qa --fileprovide | grep audiokonverter
. It’ll show you the patches containing audiokonverter from the rpm database. Try to run one from the scripts, example anytowav. It requires just one parameter (the source file).
Hope that helps.
I tried to install from packman repository only… it shows architectural change of libfaac0-1.26-15.53.i686 to libfaac0-1.28-0.pm.0.i586 and install with vendor change. Video LAN Project as one option
Well, I have not been able to make audiokonverter work as I wanted to. I will have to investigate more about it.
In spite of that I have installed PACPL-CONVERT which works very well within Konqueror. Apart from that jRipper also works very nicely. Any of both can do what I needed.
