Audio skips and stutters after sleep

If my laptop goes to sleep while Bluetooth earbuds (Sony WF-C500) are connected audio skips/stutters for 05.s every ~5 seconds - most of the time but not on every sleep/wake cycle.
Restarting pipewire doesn’t seem to help, only a full reboot.

What should I try to fix this?

FWIW, a similar reddit topic whic might be worth reviewing. Some users found that switching from S0 ‘Modern Standby’ to S3 ‘Sleep’ via the UEFI BIOS helped.

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately this laptop model doesn’t seem to support s3 sleep.

I only shared what I found via a search. Nothing further I can offer, except submitting a bug report.
