Audio output on a Pioneer X-CM56D HiFi System (and maybe others) via bluetooth

Hi,
here’s a short report, how I made my new Pioneer X-CM56D HiFi system play music from my Notebook running LEAP 42.3 using bluetooth. Bluetooth is always more tricky then plugging cords, so I hope this is helpful for other users.

Hardware is a Lenovo T430 with Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 AGN WiFi chip, I suppose this is also for the Bluetooth support, I did not find any hardware information on Bluetooth itself.

Bluetooth functionality was enabled on the HiFi System and in settings of Plasma 5. Pairing worked without problem, but no sound on the HiFi-System. I had an entry in the devices section of the mixer plasmoid, which was at 100%, the audio player was running.

What helped was: Open the settings (“Einstellungen für Lautstärke”) move to the last tab, switch the profile to “Analog surround 4.0-Output” and enable “all current streams to new output” (“Automatisch alle laufenden Streams zur neuen Ausgabe wechseln, wenn sie verfügbar wird”). Voila, now I hear my music in HiFi quality.

Regards
Thomas
