Audio Controller/Sound card (not) recognized OS 11.2

Hi, I have an issue with my Sound on OS 11.2.
It is correctly recognized under hardware and the driver seems to start properly as well when I do rcalsasound start.
But under Control Center / Sound Preference there is no audio hardware listed (and hene no sound playing).

I already tried to reinstall the alsa paackages but no change. Any clues?

I have the same problem with my hd sound card, try install 11.3 RC2 is not the final version but fix that problem and i dont found any big problem with rc2 version.

Clues? given we don’t know your exact hardware audio codec (nor exactly what alsa packages you installed), its probably not possible to provide anything detailed. Not in Linux installing ‘more’ is typically NOT better and often makes things worse.

Does your sound work with various multimedia applications? Thats the real bottom line IMHO. There is some hardware (for example Xfi comes to mind) where YaST sound and other wizard configuration tools do not handle it well.
