Audacity. privacy policy questions

In recent news the new owners of Audacity state they will collect telemetry and ‘may’ / ‘might’ sell personal data.
Is Audacity in openSUSE repositories outside this collecting personal data and selling it behaviour? Will Audacity be ‘locked’ at previous non - telemetry version?
Any opinions?
