After the 20160621 update Audacity fails to launch.
This is the error from the console:
Fatal Error: Mismatch between the program and library build versions detected.
The library used 2.8 (no debug,Unicode,compiler with C++ ABI 1009,STL containers,compatible with 2.6),
and your program used 2.8 (no debug,Unicode,compiler with C++ ABI 1010,STL containers,compatible with 2.6).

I think that this is an issue following the change to gcc. Options are switch back to the previous version or use trt the leap packman version.
I tried going back to a previous version. It still fails.
This occurs both with the Packman version and with the Tumbleweed OSS current versions. I tried downgrading to the Leap version, but it also fails:

Have you tried the packman version for Leap as that will have been made using gcc5. If that does not work and you are desperate for audacity to work with tumbleweed send me a pm with your email address and I will email you a copy of the previous packman tumbleweed version dated the 4th May (which works fine).
Thanks a lot @dth2 for offering to help. I tried the Packman and openSUSE versions for both Tumbleweed and Leap, and they are all broken at the moment. Maybe you could put that RPM up on Google Drive or somewhere public?
***Edit: ***For the time being, I finally found a package that works:
