aticonfig: howto set default adapter?

Hiya, im kinda new to this dist and in the past i have always used nvidia gfx but here we go

Was wondering how to change the default gfx adapter using
aticonfig

what i got now is:

aticonfig --lsa
*0. 01:05.0 ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics
 1. 02:00.0 ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650

* - Default adapter

been trying to google this forever but cant seem to find anything on how to set the second one as default

thx in advance
/Jake

my guess is you just need a little more google-fu, try googling using
the site specific limiter, like:

site:opensuse.org set ATI default “two cards”

or “two adapters” or “set default” or with aticonfig or maybe with
“set ATI default” or “set default” inside quotes, etc

wiggle the search string some and i think you might find pay dirt…

my google-fu skills are down to a crab with all its legs broken, all i get around is how to setup multiple screens etc. nothing about setting the default gfx adapter

BUMP

nobody who has 2 adapters knows how to set default?

nvdia provides a driver and configuration program…though i use both
i don’t have two cards…if i did, and if i wanted to know how to
select which would be default i would ask the program maker…probably
by beginning in http://forums.nvidia.com/

i don’t know what i would do if i had two ATI [jump off a cliff,
maybe]…i guess i’d look for help from ATI, but i understand they are
not focused on helping Linux system owners…

so, while waiting for someone who might also have two ATIs and know
the answer to your Q, there might be some useful info in
http://en.opensuse.org/ATI and/or openSUSE Graphic Card Practical
Theory Guide for Users
http://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php?t=431899

note: having neither ATI nor your problems i’ve read neither so don’t
know if they are helpful or nor…

good luck
