I try to install the ati drvier but I can’t get them to work. I followed the step at ATI Radeon Xpress - openSUSE but when I do glxinfo, it always give me “OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: www.mesa3d.org

My xorg config file:
/etc/X11/xorg.conf

I have a dell inspiron 1501
Kde 4
Opensuse 11

Thanks

Hi, i have the same problem, i have a Dell inspiron 1501, ATI radeon xpress 1150,ATI driver is installed with no problem but when i try to enable the 3D, i am unable to do it, i have installed the ATI drivers from the ATI repos and then as root in a console i type sax2 -r -m 0=radeon or sax2 -r and 3D option is enabled but after reboot my computer, it starts in text mode, to have the graphic mode i need to type sax2 -r -m 0=fglrx but 3D option is disabled, so that i downloaded the driver from ATI directly, i installed it successfully but 3D option is disabled, i do not know if downloaded the incorrect file, i guess my PC needs ATI radeon X300, looking at the ATI web page i found this that make me thing that the correct driver to my PC is the x300:
