Then I download ati-driver-installer-9-11-x86.x86_64 and in the end of installation it say me that was some errors during the install process. It was write to log-file:

How I can solve my problem with my videocard? Why in Sax.log write what my devices don`t detected?**

Recently I update my Suse 11.0 to 11.2 and because I use old videocard Ati x300 I give a some problem with my video. First of all I uninstall my old driver. Then I download ati-driver-installer-9-11-x86.x86_64 and in the end of installation it say me that was some errors during the install process.

The X300 chipset is not supported any longer with openSUSE 11.2 and the proprietary fglrx driver. The open source radeon driver is out only real option for now. Search these forums for several threads on the same topic. Some info concering this:

When I was having that same trouble with the 9.3 driver, which didn’t support my card either, I ended up with a messed up video, so I used the following command line to get a stable GUI back; first run su to get rootly powers then this:

sax2 -r -m 0=radeon

Thank u! Its real work. But it isnt that I wanna to look forward… I`ll return to Suse 11.0 back…
:expressionless:

Been there, done that…
it’s not worth it… trust me

I am using the same card in my system at work with the xorg Radeon driver. Sax2 seems to support the dual head config but when I enable it, it doesn’t add the second screen it only shows that it is configured in Sax2. I have tried to configure the xorg.conf file in the past and have had some results but nothing stable. Is it even possible to run both video outputs or is it still too unstable. Thanks.
