Ati suspend problem

Hey,

I have looked many places to help, but now i have to ask in here.

PC:
Acer Aspire 5110, Ati mobility radeon x1600, openSuse 11, Ati drivers version 8.51.3

After install i get Ati open source drivers and “suspend to RAM” work fine BUT then i install Ati 3d drivers that i can look some videos and play some 3d games. Install goes well and videos shows fine, but when i put my laptop to suspend it won’t get up, it’s just black screen and nothing happen if i do what.

I know that this issue is hard to fix when drivers are closed but if someone know how to fix this i appreciate it.

thanks.

I’m using proprietary ATI driver with suspend working.

My /etc/pm/config.d/config file is set up with this entry:

S2RAM_OPTS=“-f”

Does your machine suspend (and resume) ok with ‘s2ram -f’ command?

This what i have looking for thanks a lot, it’s minor thing but really annoying one.

now im finally happy openSUSE user, have try many others distros but when 11 comes and right after using it couple weeks i know that this is distro what i wan’t to use.
