ATI Radeon problem in opensuse 11.4

Hi,

I have installed Opensuse 11.4 on an HP Proliant using KDE 4.6
The video card is an ATI ES1000 515E using the radeon driver

I noted that the memory consumed keeps growing
In /var/log/message I have the following errors occurring 1 or 2 times per second :frowning:

The following error is repeated many times

Mar 14 07:29:34 hpprol kernel: [46683.852311] [TTM] Unable to allocate page.
Mar 14 07:29:34 hpprol kernel: [46683.852317] radeon 0000:01:03.0: object_init failed for (208896, 0x00000002)
Mar 14 07:29:34 hpprol kernel: [46683.852319] [drm:radeon_gem_object_create] *ERROR* Failed to allocate GEM object (208896, 2, 4096, -12)

and after 1 day I think that syslog crashed ==> file /var/log/messages has now a size of 0
in 11.3 with the same driver it runs without these errors

one difference that I have see is that in the system configuration
in 11.3 I cannot activate the desktop effects
in 11.4 the desktop effects were activated by default

in kdm.log there are thousands allocation error (kdm.log has now a size of 1129MB >:( )
Failed to allocate :
size : 2816 bytes
alignment : 0 bytes
domains : 2

any hints?
Thanks
Philippe
