ATI HD4850 problems

Man, this install has been nothing but problems/headaches >:(…it’s a learning experience I suppose

Anyways, I just recently installed OpenSUSE 11 64bit, and I can’t seem to get it to recognize my graphics card. I’m using a Radeon HD 4850 right now

…how should I approach this first?

linux-t2qp:/home/karl # fglrxinfo
display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: Mesa Home Page
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
OpenGL version string: 1.4 (2.1 Mesa 7.0.3)

Alrighty! Disregard my last post, I figured it all out. lol!

For those that care, I went ahead to ATI’s website
ATI Catalyst™ 8.11 Proprietary Linux x86 Display Driver

and ran the ati-driver-installer-8-11-x86.x86_64.run file, and followed all the instructions that came with it. Really quick install, and now I’ve got my lovely 1680x1050 resolution :).
