I have been getting problems with some D3D problems running on Wine, and those people over at Wine said it’s fglrx problem that causes the screen corruption. But, after reading two very long bug reports and topics, I still don’t see what I could do to make it stop. There are a lot of workarounds that people suggest, but most are theoretical or won’t work on OpenSUSE 11.0. So, is there one, good way to solve the corruption problem on OpenSUSE? The one I get is similar to this one: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b209/je-saist/hd3800-cedega-post-corruption-small.jpg
I’ve found numbers of articles on this problem, like: Bug 1173 - Catalyst 8.6 + Wine 3D applications corrupts screen (checkerboard) , Bug 12929 – Games crash/wined3d doesn’t work with ATI’s fglrx driver , Catalyst 8.6 + Cedega = graphics corruption - Phoronix Forums and AMD Catalyst 8.8 Linux Driver - Phoronix Forums , but all are long and won’t give any fix that would we actually working for everyone.
My Catalyst reports that the driver version is 8.51.3, CCC version is 1.10.
