Hello. I’ve installed the newest ATI drivers for my hd5950 and now I get these black boarders around my screen. I’ve adjusted the scaling options within CCC and everything is fine and dandy. UNTIL I reboot/poweroff the settings reset and I have to go back and adjust them again.
Kinda annoying too. Could somebody help me please?

I think there are still some bugs in Catalyst-10.8. Do you get that with both 2D and 3D (ie special desktop effects) ? If this is too anoying, then you may be better off rolling back to the vesa, radeon or radeonhd driver , dependant on which one supports your HD 5950.
Hi thanks for the reply. The vesa driver is fine, but it seems rather slow and also my card heats up when I’m using it. Weird huh, but as soon as I install the ati drivers it virtually cold TOTALLY WEIRD!. And yeah it happens with 2D and 3d Desktops.
