Am trying to install the correct driver for my RV710 Radeon HD4350 grahics card.
Can someone please tell me which version out of these two I should install:
* x11-video-fglrxG02 (for HD2000 series and later)
* x11-video-fglrxG01 (for Radeon 9500 - X1900)
I find the descriptions confusing.
Thanks for any help forthcoming.

You should install
- x11-video-fglrxG02 (for HD2000 series and later)
However some users report checksum error for the packages in the ATI repository lately. If that’s the case you can try to install the 10.2 Catalyst driver “The Hard Way” (It isn’t hard, really.)
Many thanks for your help.
By a strange coincidence just after I read your reply I got a software update notification for radeonhd which may solve my problems without having to install the Ati driver(problem is random seizing up of the system which can only be cleared by switching the power off then on again).
merkland.
It will solve the random freezing up of the system, but at the expense of disabling DRI acceleration. You’ll experience slow windows moving, drawing, scrolling and almost everything you do in KDE/GNOME.
Another option is to use the radeon driver (which does not cause the lockup) instead of radeonhd driver.
