ATI 8.1 installation problem

i am having problem installing the new ati driver, i’m getting checker board problem with my current catalyst during wine.
here’s the log

You are probably installing au unofficial package. For ATI cards, you proceed as follows: add the ati repository to the software repositories in your YAST configuration, let YAST check the repository and the download the drivers. All of this must be done through YAST and not by hand, by an internet browser, or by shell commands.:wink:

thank you for you help i’ve figure it out, i already know how to do the yast way. click click fglrx edit. The drivers i have is official from ati and it’s compatible with opensuse. Is just that i was doing the manual way to try to get the latest catalyst to install. All i needed to do was update the kernel and all the necessarily support files.
