i got driver and when i install driver and reboot computer I got just terminal and when I type startx I get error FLGRX and sam log file or something like that.
instruction i found here but some comands didn’t worked openSUSE Lizards
It could be you ran into a bug where a recent 2.6.34.7-0.3 kernel broke the functionality of the Catalyst-10.9 graphic driver (fglrx). But there was a new kernel release yesterday to the 2.6.34.7-0.4 which I have read might work with the Catalyst 10.9 graphic driver without any special patches. Hence you could remove that ‘fglrx’ driver, and then update to the new kernel, and then try again to install the graphic driver.
I don’t understand what your knowledge level is, nor do I understand the exact problem you encountered because I definitely can NOT understand the very vague description of the error message you got. I am sure saying “I get error FLGRX and sam log file or something like that” may make perfect sense to you, but I can not make heads or tails of that statement. You need to be precise. If you can not be bothered to record the exact error, then take a picture of it with a digital camera and post that picture on a site such as ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing and post here the URL/website-address to the picture with the errors.
… and then advise us as to WHAT you have installed re: the graphic driver … ie what is output of:
rpm -qa '*kernel*'
and the output of:
rpm -qa '*fglrx*'
and if you can copy the contents of /var/log/Xorg.0.log to the web site Pastebin.com and then after you submit it to the site, post here the URL/web-site address it gives you so that we can see the content of that file. Do NOT post the entire contents of /var/log/Xorg.0.log file here.
You NEED also to install ‘kernel-source’ and ‘kernel-syms’ of the 2.6.34-12.3 kernel version (as long as you continue to use that kernel version). If you update the kernel then you also need to update those!
Do a search on openSUSE Lizards for “kernel-source” . You WILL see it noted there. You clearly did not follow that instruction. Hence I have no idea as to what you followed. >:(
I still do not know what “I get error FLGRX and sam log file or something like that” means. You need to be precise when reporting errors. Remember what I noted about using a digital camera to make this easier.

Clearly the fglrx driver could not be found, and probably was not installed. The Radeon driver did not support 3D on your hardware from what I can see.
I downloaded driver and typed : zypper in kernel-source kernel-syms module-init-tools make gcc libstdc++ libgcc glibc-32bit glibc-devel-32bit fontconfig freetype zlib*
sudo /sbin/modprobe fglrx
gives: FATAL: Module fglrx not found.
what I should do, if i turn off laptop I will get only terminal and startx will not work
please help
Note you have NOT yet installed kernel-source, nor kernel-syms. You need those installed ! OK ??
Clearly your “zypper in kernel-source kernel-syms module-init-tools make gcc libstdc++ libgcc glibc-32bit glibc-devel-32bit fontconfig freetype zlib*” did NOT work.
Did you have internet access when you ran that command? Did you run that command with root permissions?
yes I have internet connection, and vhen I run “zypper in kernel-source kernel-syms module-init-tools make gcc libstdc++ libgcc glibc-32bit glibc-devel-32bit fontconfig freetype zlib*” did NOT work.
