Hello all,
I have a latop with Atheros WLAN card and yet I’m not able to find any kind of option on SUSE to enable it. Not even a driver setting.
On Mint I was able to install the Windows drivers with no problem.
Any help?
Thanks in advance.

The Madwifi drivers aren’t installed by default. Install the Madwifi drivers and then configure the essid and IP acquisition and so on in Yast
And how can I do that? I’m really lost since for almost every command I have to log as SU. And I don’t have apt-get here. =/
Thanks.

Everything you need to do can be done with YaST in a GUI.

It might help to have a read of this tutorial:
Madwifi or Ndiswrapper Wireless Network Drivers - Suse/openSUSE 10, 11 - LAN & Internet access
Skip past the “Ndiswrapper” stuff and just focus on Madwifi.
Thanks a lot guys =)
The problem I get is:
inux-l1y8:/home/marianox/usr/bin # wlanconfig athX create wlandev *
wlanconfig: unknown create option 80211stats
I still can’t make it work =(
