Got it . . . well I am a “MATE user” from way back, don’t have any other DEs installed in this iteration of TW, but I think I get the change in command to try to keep the dependencies, but remove the 5 or whatever packages . . . .
Since this morning’s updates it seems like the problem is now “intermittent” as I’ve done several “suspends” this morning and sometimes get the error and sometimes not . . . . Gotta jump out for work now, but I’ll look into the bug report filing and/or “wait n see” rather than cleaning out the MATE DE . . . i.e., “We had to destroy the village to save it,” etc, etc. I’ll try the “nodeps” command when I get back to the computer . . . .
When you report a bug after failing to solve a problem via a forum, you should include a link to the forum thread in the bug, to ease the workload of the triagers, and save some questions they would otherwise need to ask and have answered before working the bug could proceed.
That does seem to have kept that error window at bay when I went for a shut down earlier today . . . and I’ve done a couple of “dup -l” procedures and saw the “at-spi” packages were “locked” . . . .
But don’t think there has been any response on the bug report . . . ??? even though I linked it to this thread . . . . : - 0
