Asus T101MT issue with hibernation (or suspention)

Hello all,

I recently installed Opensuse 11.4 on my Asus T101MT … and almost all works perfectly. But when i get my laptop out of bed (awake it from sleep/suspention) the touchscreen no longer works. I have to reboot the machine to make it work.
Any idea what that might be ?
I dint install any costum drivers or whatever… just a out of the box install atm. I tried to install the egalax-multitouch-driver which someone in a other post said (old post of 2010 about suse 11.3) but no luck there.

Thank in advanced :slight_smile:

Gaulo

edit its 32 bit version btw*

This is my /var/log/messages file from when i suspended the machine and woke it up again:

Gaulo,

I had a similar issue and just put off finding a solution until yesterday. Running Debian unstable on the t101mt with the 3.1.0 kernel. I don’t use the egalax driver either. One post that helped me find a solution was:

[all variants] Ubuntu on Eee PC T101MT [Archive] - Ubuntu Forums](http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1468376.html)

Search the page for “resume” and you will find a script that removes the hid_egalax driver right before it sleeps or hibernates the t101mt. Since I don’t use the hid_egalax driver I had to search the module to see which was loaded (lsmod command) and found hid_multitouch. Using “rmmod hid_multitouch” and “modprobe hid_multitouch” after a suspend restored the touchscreen. Long story short, I then created a file /etc/pm/config.d/10_unload_drivers with:

SUSPEND_MODULES=“hid_multitouch”

This appears to be working for me. So, see if you are using hid_multitouch, hid_egalax or some other driver and suspend it before you put the t101mt to sleep. I hope this helps!

Cheers,
Dustin
